Now that Gaddafi is murdered… it is on to Uganda and then probably the Congo…for starts, in Africa.

Funny how these humanitarian missions always involve countries with a ton of oil, and/or other minerals.

Here is some background on Uganda…

April 2011
“The centerpiece of Uganda’s nascent oil industry is the Lake Albert field that holds at least 2.5 billion barrels of oil. Some estimates go as high as 6 billion barrels” http://www.upi.com/Business_News/Energy-Resources...

What do all of our military escapades have in common?
Let's see:
Iraq = Huge amounts of oil
Afghanistan = a trillion dollars in various minerals
Libya = oil
and the newest one,
Uganda = newly discovered oil and minerals.

Anyone see a pattern here?

Lies! Unfortunately, our country's foreign policy is run by the military-industrial complex.

The Iran assassination story sounds bogus. Just like are usual pattern of lying ourselves into a war.

And who benefits?
Israel - which has been egging us on to do something about Iran.
Obama - who needs a distraction from the dismal economy with the upcoming 2012 election.
Obama again - who would enhance the Jewish vote in 2012with an attack on Iran.
The military contractors - as usual.

The whole thing stinks!

Those people smearing Wall Street protestors are the same jerks who thought that the Vietnam protestors in the 1960's were anti-American.

The reaction of the right wing is reminiscent of the reaction to the Vietnam War protestors in the 1960's. Many of Vietnam hawks crowd in the 1960's had bumper stickers that read "America: Love It or Leave It." People like Sean Hannity, Herman Cain, Eric Cantor etc. have no understanding of what America is all about. They do not understand that the main reason we have Freedom of Speech is to protect "political" free speech, like we are seeing with Occupy Wall Street.

Pakistan should NOT have nuclear weapons and neither should the United States. We, the general population that inhabits this planet, should not have to live on the edge of total destruction based on the whims of the leaders, who time again prove to be a bunch of corrupt idiots (including the leaders of the US and Pakistan). So far, the world has been lucky avoiding nuclear war. We can't stay lucky forever. Outlaw the nukes for ALL countries!

Two huge lies.

(1) We had to bomb Libya because Quaddafi was going to massacre his own citizens.
(2) The actions of Bernanke and company prevented a 2nd Great Depression.

I completely agree with this…

"The real, pro-US solution to the problems in the Middle East is for us to end all foreign aid, stop arming foreign countries, encourage peaceful diplomatic resolutions to conflicts, and disengage militarily."

Ron Paul gets it right on foreign policy issues, the Federal Reserve, and the war on drugs but gets it very wrong on the social safety net…Social Security, Medicare, etc. And, his idea (see recent Jon Stewart appearance) that no regulations are needed on Wall Street because they would police themselves in order to remain competitive is just plain silly. This idea has proved very wrong by the ongoing financial collapse that started in 2007 and, was largely brought about by the elimination of Glass Steagall rules, as well as the failure to regulate highly-leveraged derivatives.

Without an independent, diligent free press, our democracy in the US is doomed. The founding fathers recognized the criticality of the press. But now, in the era of big corporate media conglomerates, the mainstream media in the US fails miserably and hence, a clueless American public willing to accept almost anything, without question... such as "humanitarian effort" in Libya, WMD Iraq, the ridiculous war in Afghanistan and on, and on, and on.
