Umm, I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. They exsist because of us. Without citizens, we don't need representation. Remember, "Government works for ME"! Not to mention that many of them seem determined to take this country, as it was intended to be, down.

1. Term limits on Congress. One term and you have to go back to the private sector for the amount of
time that equals two terms, then you can come back.
2. Eliminate IRS. Institute a flat tax
3. Secure our borders. For real!
4. No lifetime benefits for Congress.
5. Stop funding groups like Acorn.
6. Limits on campaign contributions.
7. Institute penalties for broken campaign promises. Perhaps something like 3 strikes, you're out!
8. Eliminate earmarks.
9. Work for Welfare. There has to be some job they can do.
10. Increase salary for our armed services.

I don't know about anyone else but I am overwhelmed. There are so many good ideas, good websites, good organizations, must read books, etc. and I just don't have the time to do it all. It seems to me, and please don't take this the wrong way, that we are way too scattered. Not to mention the time spent attacking each other. We need to unite to have the most impact. I feel like I am just running in place because I don't know where to focus my attention. Any ideas on how we can get more focused and united so we can really get this ball moving forward? And again please don't take this the wrong way, I know most of us are here with good intent. I just want to see this thing move forward!
