The only thing Mr. R. overlooked was mention of the "C" Street cabal and the extreme-right Christianists who last year declared Jews, Muslims and Atheists enemies of the state before they were "disappeared" into the camps. Under the new State Religion the First Amendment (among others) was dissolved, guns having been confiscated from the populace, and anyone caught practicing or advocating any unofficial religious variance is subject to the draconian whims of the New World Order, now located in the nation's capital. Pray for us. Just don't get caught at it!

America's casual disregard for, and disinterest in the Iraqi and Afghani civilian deaths reveals the heart of darkness that permeates the mainstream media, the government, and our military. The cancer of war that festers beneath our self-claimed patriotism will turn and devour us as a nation.

How many civilians know that the hideous drone strikes responsible for so many civilian deaths are in fact operated remotely 8,000 miles away in a small air base a few miles north of Las Vegas? These military men work three eight-hour shifts continuously, 24/7, striking whatever appears to them to be a gathering of the enemy.

Why does our willfully ignorant military still think that the "terrorists" are stupid enough to gather in large groups to plan their next moves? As a reading civilian who depends on the electronic media for the real news--even I know that the Taliban is too smart for that. Guerrilla forces meet in groups of two or three, with foot soldiers passing along information face-to-face to the next small group. Guerrilla fighters will never be defeated by regular army.

The military-industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned about has in fact made War the Business of America, and the reason the killing drags on is purely profit driven. Think Halliburton, Blackwater, and Pearl. We keep on doing what doesn't work because corporate America wants it that way, and supports the best Congress money can buy.

Will America ever get out of this illegal war and begin to regain the soul of our founders? They must be spinning in their graves.
