Our new neighbors started setting them off last year a week before July 4. We all complained. This year it was July 4 only. Thankfully. I agree, ban them in WA.

I agree. Fireworks are illegal in NJ and we didn't have horrible childhoods because of it. Simple. Ban the sale of them in WA. I was reading NJ.com and no stories of animals or people hurt because of fireworks. Wonder why. :)

perhaps their land should be returned to them. Have you ever been to Pine Ridge? Again educate yourself to how the indians are treated here. overcompensation? LOL. I wouldn't call the genocide over compensation.

you really need to learn history. Europeans confiscated the indian's land and forced them onto reservations. Educate yourself first before you attempt to make an argument. Persecution is persecution regardless of whether or not you personally participated in it.

You don't know what else to do? I am not judging but your sister is family. Your parents chose not to have help but you can have your sister in your home and also hire help.

I don't have kids and my parents are relatively healthy as are my brothers. But if God forbid one of them ends up needing help you better believe I will step up to the plate. Family is family.

exactly. Not only why didn't anyone say something what happened to self preservation? Think "hmmm not a good idea I think I will back away from the fire"

apparently. If I was student standing there and a classmate started tossing gas on a fire, I would not be anywhere near the fire. School doesn't teach common sense.

Standing idly by watching, thinking it's wrong but doing nothing is not too smart.

Exactly. I have driven on this road countless times but I am also not doing 50 mph on it.

Sad situation. Why were people walking along a busy road at night? Did the drunken fool jump the sidewalk? I live off Firetrail and I am amazed people take their lives into their hands walking/jogging/biking up/down it in the dark. Same with 34th. Drivers cannot see you, even when not impaired.

RIP Shane.
