"evidence was needed that the implementation was working."

I would say all the evidence to date shows that its a total an utter shambles? Anywhere else in the UK Poots would have been gone. Here he just rambles on an on with a load of crap while the ERs get worse. The Mater is a total and utter shambles with the RVH not to far behind. People are not only waiting hours to be seen but people are dying over this. For anyone who has actually been to the Mater or RVH the issue is fairly obvious - money, staffing and management or rather lack of management. Staff our hammered day and daily trying to make do with little resource.
The strategic implementation of it and lack of outcomes are where the flaws currently are," she said.

More crap.

Don't forget the nightly police chopper constantly in the air up there every night. Am sure that's not cheap to run!

Why don't they just use the route they take to get to and from the protest every night? Must be fairly easy to travel with all the gear and flags etc. and they make it on time most nights so no great hardship. As you say problem solved!

you also need to consider what else those cops could be doing if we did not have to pay them to sit in a Landrover all day watching nothing! Of course you could also consider how many of them are doing extra shifts to cover the protest as opposed to having their days of, all adds up

Most of the time there is no one there unless someone pops in with a camera. You get the band each evening but everyone either laughs or simply ignores it.

But I mainly feel sorry for the people in the houses beside this nightly mess. They must be tortured. Oh can someone also answer this one, if the band cannot walk down the Crumlin road to protest, cannot walk up the road to get home, how is it that they manage to get down every night to play a few tunes? If they are not walking down the Crumlin, and as they say they all live up the Crumlin Road, how do they get down to Twaddle? They also appear to have no problem hauling all the gear back up the road each night via this non existent route! OH I can guess there is another route they take every night of the week down to the protest, that route must not pass any difficult area hence no one notices them! Of course they could also be being beamed up and down the road bit like Star Trek really!

Wonder how many staff will go in order to achieve this!

As we are both in the same place do you not agree that we should be moving forward so that at least our children do not occupy the same space in years to come. I am personally not worried by any letters or grants of pardon to those who murdered my friends and relatives. I personality want to move beyond the pain no matter who hard that is.

But what did we do to stop it - very little. We stood buy and let it take place. I remember May Blood(?) on a documentary on the Shankill Butchers saying half the Shankill knew who they where but where to afraid to speak out. The same can be said for many of the areas that suffered the most. People knew who was doing most of it but we stayed silent out of fear or for other reasons. From your own point of view other than standing on the side-lines looking on what do you do or did you do to try and stop it?

yes I have had relatives killed/injured (plural) plus a lot of friends butchered for no other reason they where Catholics. BUT as I said we need to move past it all if only for the sake of our children.
