This problem is hugely reduced with solid state storage. The problem is in waiting for the hard drive to move its arm across the disk, but when it's purely electronic, that's almost instant. Also, I doubt the game cartridges would use anything similar to filesystems that computers use, which could speed things up.

While I wouldn't turn it down as a gift, what makes it different than any other version? I agree with Christian, being packaged in a velco and cardboard chest doesn't make it very special(not $1300 special, anyway).

YES. The Argorok battle was more epic than any other in the game, as far as I'm concerned. TP Ganondorf's final blow-inflicted death was pretty epic though. ;)

It wouldn't really be a remake then, just a port. I don't consider the high res OoT mods to be remakes.
