Suppose the new iOS 5 releases and i upgrade it. Will it change my BaseBand???

is it necessary for me to upgrade to 4.2.1 without upgrading my BB or staying at 4.1 and jailbreaking it is ok???
i mean will it affect my future unlock by staying at 4.1 ??? is upgrading to 4.2.1 necessary ???

I Owned a 3gs 3.1.3 BB 5.12.01
I had the same problem as you did ....when the ultrasn0w unlock for that baseband had come!!!
I kept on getting NO SERVICE on my phone i tried N-number of methods (u name it ) to resolve the problem but to no success!! I tried for like 4 months and then i thought to go to the apple store and show them and to my luck they replaced the phone and gave me a brand new one !!!! (i don't know how although it was jailbroken my luck u can say )
I think the only solution to this is to get your phone replaced but as i see that your BB now is 6.15 i am sorry but i don't think thats going to happen !!
P.S. i thought to share this with you and so i did and also i will be happy if there is another way out !!!!!

jailbroken with redsn0w and unlocked with Ultrasn0w !!!

How much time will it take to download the ipad baseband while performing the jailbreak via redsn0w????
