Thanks for the reply. As stated, I have a 3G 16gb running custom firmware 3.1.2 I downloaded from here with baseband 5.11.07. I have WinXP Pro SP3.

I did google search and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. Here is what I have found out to resolve the problem.

The best solution is if you already have a jailbroken iphone, all you have to do is go to cydia and add the source http://blackra1n.com/ and from there install blacksn0w. It should unlock your iphone just fine.

the second solution is more drastic. Only recommended if you decide to wipe your iphone. Just go to itunes and do a normal restore to official firmware. Once that is done, run Blackra1n RC3 and you should see the blackra1n app. Just run that and follow the instructions given above.

I have tried it 3 times. Nothing comes up :(

I have a 3G with custom firmware 3.1.2 with baseband 5.11.07. Ran Blackra1n RC3 successfully but upon reboot, there is no blackra1n app icon to be found. Anyone else has this problem?
