it really sadden me how most of the people really blames Islam for this. First of all, Islam NEVER allows this kind of thing, what happened to her is purely because her family's brutality, ignorance, cruelty. And they're the extremist! Those extremists are ignorant people who never really understand the Quran, yet somehow they always say their act is for Islam. I'm a Muslim woman who lives in a Muslim country, and not even once I heard something about the arranged marriage! The fact is, every woman may choose who she wants to marry.
And seriously! stop stereotyping people! if you think that most of Islam women suffer this kind of torture then you might need to open your eyes. it's her family that you should blame, not the religion! Islam really respects women, but somehow the media never shows it to people.
