I'm still kind of reeling from the news, but more than anything I'm thankful that Andrew did so much to give us a voice, both here and in the media.

His example of fearlessness in the face of criticism, scorn, mockery and hatred is something that will, I hope, stick with me, and inspire me to be bolder about the things I know to be true.

My prayers for and heartfelt condolences to his wife and children. May God bless them all and bring them comfort.

Very true. He was only a few years older than me, too. More than anything it's made me reflect on how little I've accomplished in life in comparison.

That's the question that occurred to me almost immediately after hearing the news.

I posted the links to show that what I found in a Google search on the topic weren't all "right-wing propaganda" like you claimed, not to suggest that they contained the proof you're demanding.

I do find it curious that you accuse me of being indifferent to the victims of rape when you discount the Glasgow charge because it's not in America.

Could you provide me with some links you found via Google to the debunking articles? I just tried a Google search on "Occupy rapes" and all I've found so far are people discussing that something has to be done to stop them, written by folks on both sides of the political fence.

You know, repetition of a catch phrase does not an argument make.

Tangentially, I'm intrigued by your notion that only women may discuss the issue of rape. Being a Conservative, I confess I've become accustomed to the proposition that ideas are more important than identity. Is it your contention that only women may discuss the issue of rape?
