Where does it extend to the east side of 1st? The only place that you might include is down around 216th. The truth is the 1st Ave is split between Burien and Normandy Park -- if you are thinking about the area across the street from QFC that is part of Burien, it has never has been part of NP. NP does have the rights to 1st Ave and this is why they were able to reduce the speed limit on a four lane road down th 35 MPH except where it is Hwy 509. One of there problems when it became a city is that they initially did not want ANY retail space but did grandfather in the Archery store no longer there (where their Town Square and condos are) and then finally relented on the other stores.
McDonald's is hiring also there are many jobs in North Dakota -- they can't get enough people.
I did not say they are any better or worse -- all I am saying is that there should be the option.
If they want to make a school year shorter that I think they should allow Charter schools in Washington so there is a choice.
Please site your scientific reference regarding NaCl and Floride.
Did you noticed I said we continued to work while we settled -- I am so glad that you do have the options to go to a variety hospitals. We just choose to care more for our patients who do not have the option to go to different hospitals than to think that we are better than the law and make the patients suffer for the gain that we ultimately got.
When I worked as a RN -- we where not allowed to strike either but we had similar issues you do -- number of patients per nurse. We did not strike. We worked it out but it took time and comprimising. I would love to hear what you would have said if your daughters became ill and needed hospital care but the nurses were on strike "Due to number of nurses to patient ratio". Don't tell me nurses more or less important according to you teachers "shape the youth".
you must work for the government!
I love that she says “Burien has changed its main street from a dingy 4 lane highway cluttered with empty store fronts, broken sidewalks and dangerous crosswalks to a pedestrian friendly, vibrant downtown and that’s a remarkable achievement” yet since the road has been made into a two lane road I have seen more business die! And the sidewalkds are still broken -- my 86 yo Dad fell the other day because of the uneven sidewalk.
