Fact:
He was caught giving a minor female alcohol earlier this year (nearly charged)
Fact:
He believed he was immune from prosecution because of his job. The felony was a big shocker.

Support him if you want/ but I predict a very ugly ending.

There is also a post in the HS from a boy who was dragged from a moving car that Kai was driving many years ago. Guess they better hope that kids family doesnt get selected for a jury pool?
Holland is Holland and will always remain Holland. Zero tolerance. Thats the way it works.
If my peers make it to a jury and there is evidence of controlled substances...there will be little mercy.
Additionally I think it is very sad that a little girl has to grow up with the stigma of what her father has done.
That will no doubt have a huge negative impact on her life.
My sympathies go out to the Steele family...their child paid the ultimate price for picking the wrong guy to call a friend.

I think that it is very interesting that the family and friends are doing most of the commenting on this story?
Blaming everyone under the sun, except the possibility of responsibility of driver and/or passenger.
What is even more interesting, is that if you go to the Holland Sentinel you will see that some people of the community are not so quick to pass judgement and blame the roads.
They want to wait to hear what comes back on the tox screens.
Now...if the driver lives there will most likely be charges filed and guess what?
A jury trial, unless he pleads down to a lesser plea.
So all the good people of Ottawa county will decide if he was liable in any way for the death of his best friend.
We havent heard much from the Steele family, we'll see after the grief if they decide to file a wrongful death suit. Friends or no friends there will be money involved thru the insurance company.
That my friends is the way this will all boil down...If Kai survives.
