That explains why you can't follow along with your own original question...

Again, pick a road - now you're talking about the city of Denver. ?
Has the pot gone to your head?

The state did their part, licenses have been issued prior to Jan 1.
Ned BOT is holding their hearing at their first regularly scheduled meeting. They will likely approve the license.

As stated before, a city/town/county can't issue any sort of business license without the state approvals first. So far, no individual business licenses have had their hearing since the state licenses were only approved today. Patience, grasshopper.

I see clearly. No smoke in my vision at all...dude.

I guess you need to decide what point you want to argue.:

You began by asking why the holdup til Jan 21. I don't see where Ned has held anything up.

Now, you're blaming the state for stalling....BUT, they have approved a pretty sizable list of licenses for stores, cultivation facilities etc PRIOR to their Dec 31st deadline. Financial & criminal background checks for over 300 businesses can't happen over-night.

I completely disagree. It would have been irresponsible for the town of Ned to issue a license before the state had done its approval.

The article doesn't state when the dispensary applied for their license....there might not be a hold up on the town's end. Hearings need to be posted and scheduled according to state statute.

Rock on Mr. Guercio. The community thanks you for all of the history. You have a beautiful ranch, worth every darn penny! Now, if I only had $45M (daydreaming...)

Please don't forget that many of these homeowners purchased their homes 10-15-20+ years ago when these forested areas were still healthy. Living in the Front Range mountains does not make you a "stupid-investor", no one could have guessed that the pine beetle infestation would do the damage it has done in this quick of a time frame.

These folks also do pay their "modest fee" - property taxes to their local fire districts which also in most areas covers all EMS services (fire, medical, etc). And, many mountain landowners do a great job mitigating their properties.

No matter where you live in the US, there will be some sort of event to deal with: tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.

As far as land use: multiple counties along the FR encourage land owners to do boundary eliminations to discourage new growth.

When did the kids go from saggy pants to saggy overalls? I kinda thought overalls solved the "plumbers crack" problem. Guess I was wrong...
