Where was all this outrage last year when Leno and Conan did jokes about John Edwards having sex with then 17 year old Bristol?

If all these protests against Letterman are sincere and not just some publicity stunt, then there should be similar protests against Conan and Leno.

Why is St Sarah Palin off-limits to any jokes? The jokes about her are no worse than any Dave has done about other men and women. He did fat jokes about Oprah for years, Oprah did his show and had Dave on hers. Has joked about Bill and Hillary for 17 years and will continue to do so.

If Sarah wants to be in public life, she is going to get joked about. If she can't handle it, she should just stay in Alaska.
