As a fairly new practioner in the Shambhala lineage, I can only say "wow" to most of these pictures. Thank you so much for sharing. It helps to know that the things I read and practice had a not-so-distant origin or atleast transmission to the West. Inspiring. Thank you!

Simple....but to remember that every moment - not so simple!

My idea is simply the idea of "pausing" a "pause button", or something of the like. Perhaps an image of some stopping in the midst chaos or a city scene, or being the only one not in "movement" either physically or emotionally.
Nothing says mindfulness to me than stopping in a given moment, and give full attention to whatever it is we are doing (or not doing). This is of course difficult in our busy daily lives. Thank you!

The idea of removing the labeling of our lives is something I try to do (Good vs. bad) but it is hard! It's so easy to get caught up in the right vs. wrong way, or the correct vs. incorrect (enter topic here). Your words say to me....."just do it" - which is great advice. Thanks as always!

It seems our society/culture shuns the "death" talk - whether preparing for ours, or others, or even discussing the absolute for all of us. I really appreciate your story, and those like it, because it continually wakes me up, and reminds me of the truth in everyday. No work deadlines, or traffic, or inconveniences will or should ever be as important as realizing the importance of every moment, and the real important things in life. We should all wake up in such a way that "bam" - we could die next week or tomorrow, or today! Lets not worry about the small things - but rush towards the beauty in every moment, and the loved ones we value, and moments not to waste. Its so easy to do.
Thank you for the reminder!

Karen
Thank you - your posts always inspire me. Some of these I already "try" to be mindful of, but others still need to be! This is something I printed, and will put into my practice. Thanks again!

It's a sad tale, but not an unfamilar one to all. It's amazing to hear such strong opinions on both "sides" of "he deserves better" or "she deserves better", etc. But the sad case is the him/her individuality is what spawns the example ego-centric behavior here, and as a result a flock of children are in the middle. Much like all suffering, I hope that there is a middle ground, and perhaps this show can be seen as an example of society in general and not just "them" and "their" issues....its our culture's issues on display...
