Fuel-efficient driving can be labeled with any one of a number of names. Unfortunately, the "H" word has been over used by the press to describe the various techniques. While the Auto Alliance coined the "EcoDriving" label, I prefer to call it conscientious driving ... that's how I test drive (and document) each and every review vehicle that hits my driveway, week-after-week.

I've found that it's not difficult to exceed the official estimates in nearly any vehicle, by adopting some simple techniques. With a number of vehicles, I've been able to absolutely demolish the official estimates. It's all in the where/when/how you drive.
