Actually the Chinese do not need the onus and initiative from UMNO leaders (as suggested by Perkasa). They need polite behaviour and respect from UMNO leaders as a starting point to improve interaction with BN. Not threats of being slapped for nothing from leaders like Tajuddin Abdul Rahman who, to be honest, projects a very bad and negative image for UMNO. Where are his manners?

President Jokowi of Indonesia has pledged to overcome the problem of forest burning in 3 years. If we are to believe the Deputy Minister of the Environment, the upgrading of all API reading stations in the country to be able to measure 2.5 microns will take 3 years. Does this mean that the upgrading will be too late because 3 years down the road, the Indonesians have licked the problem. Why it needs 3 years to upgrade our API stations is also beyond the man of the street who is currently being choked to death by the haze. Looks like the government is not willing to commit immediate financial resources to this urgent public health issue. Surely the health and wellbeing of Malaysians is more important than anything else.

Why use the term in the first place? Unless the perpetrator is lacking in education and upbringing.

The term abuse of power comes to mind when one reads the account how the Home Ministry issued the suspension order against The Edge Daily/Weekly. The question of why they acted without legal counsel also begs for an answer. Did the Ministry officials know what they were doing?

It is time the Prime Minister reconsider his options in appointing his strategic communication advisers. First there is Lester and now a character called Ramesh Rao. Both are bankrupts and are hardly good role models to spread the good message. At the end of the day, their financial status seem to reflect the state of the government today.

This latest statement from the Perak Mufti confirms that he is suffering from some form of mental delusion because he fails to realise that this is a multi-racial and multi-cultural country and not Saudi Arabia. In the old days when the Tunku and Tun Razak were premiers, this does not seem to pose a problem. Why now? It is lamentable that the good mufti has with his statements, decided to insult the intelligence of the Malay youth of today, which is a disturbing development. The Perak mufti should hold his horses and think carefully before he speaks.

This latest blunder has reinforced the public's perception that Lester is a pathological liar. And the people who are behind this video confession has made a real boo-boo in enrolling Lester's services in this hoax as only the intellectually challenged will believe the confession.

If the PM says it is a lie, put it to an acid test. Open up all BTN's files, records, course syllabuses, video recordings of lectures to an all party committee of MPs so that we can be reassured. Saying somethng is a lie without allowing the truth to emerge is worse than lying.

If groups like Isma and Perkida think they can solve problems by bashing the Chinese community, they are sadly mistaken. There is no law in the world to prevent people from suspending their ability to think clearly and statements by people like Nadzim Johan are clearly not helping to foster national unity and harmony. It is instructive to note that in any other civilised country, statements like this would not be sanctioned by the public nor even published in the media. Not sure if it applies to Malaysia. Clearly, this statement is intended to incite the Malay community against the Chinese and this should be deemed as a form of racial hate speech.
