It concerns me as well, this type of attitude. I was really mad when they didn't put up a silhouette of my own personal "The Catch" when I caught that foul ball one handed while sipping on a beer. One of the finer moments in Shea and, well, let's face it, Mets history.

I don't get this "they've been playing like this for the past 2 years" stuff already. I'm not going to rehash all the specifics of why they choked the past 2 years, thats not the point I'm going to make, but they still managed to win A BUNCH of games the past 2 seasons and miss the playoffs by 1 game each of those years. Like, if they magically started having this mystical KILLER INSTINCT would they have won 100 plus games the past 2 seasons? I don't think a lot of people get how the game of baseball or a baseball season plays out. I look at it like this; if they win a couple more games the past 2 years at any random point during those seasons it basically just means people would have complained less for a couple less days on this blog.

Because it makes it easier to sell papers, get ratings, rile up the mouth breathers who call into the fan and a good chunk of the people who post at this blog.
