Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. The arresting officers (I imagine) are responsible for their part and the prosecuting attorney is responsible for theirs... The judge is merely holding up the law, ensuring that this DB gets a fair trial. I imagine they aren't happy about it either.

As I stepped out my front door to take the dog out to do her 'business' we were met by a raccoon. The hallway type walk way was only about 8 feet wide- neither of us had a clear escape route, and of course my dog went into protect mode. I was about 8 months pregnant and when that critter lunged at me, I swear all of the hair on my body stood up on end. I could only think of impact it would have on my baby (rabies shots)- Lucky (my dog) had some gnarly slices but I escaped unscathed.

It's weird that those little buggers scare me so... those and opossums... *shiver.

"Like" I'm so glad she had an unusual key chain making it easier for her to be identified. Others said there was a way to put ID on your shoe, that sounds like a great idea.

When police executed a search warrant at Johnson's home, they found a backpack similar to the one his ex-girlfriend said he had with him during the assault."

The backpack contained a handsaw, duct tape, a shovel, zip ties, a large hunting knife, black leather gloves, a black stocking hat and gloves.

"She said he told her he was going to kill her and displayed a semiautomatic handgun in a holster on his right hip. She said he also had a baton and zip ties. When she tried to grab her cellphone, she said, he grabbed the phone and put it in his pocket. He continued to make statements about killing her, then himself. She said he then raped her, and she was able to talk him out of letting her leave."

I know I wrote it in a response, but in our home money is a factor- We use the cheap baby gates in our upstairs windows. They are ugly, whatever, my little one wont be falling from the window.

As parents to toddlers we need to have foresight not hindsight. We put plugs in outlets to prevent an accidents and helmets in case of them.

I know we shouldn't blame the parents, they are going through too much already, but lets take a moment to protect our own children.

At our home, we have those cheap baby gates in the upstairs windows that are opened. Ugly, but worth it.
