Health insurance is too expensive for many of us, and we do need reform. However if we are taking over 1/7th of the nation\'s economy we need to take our time so we can do it right. President Obama and the Democratic Party leadership wants us to rush it through, but look what happened with the stimulus bill, pork barrel spending and the economy is still the way it was before the stimulus bill.
Insurance companies should be ran like BUPA and Farmer\'s Insurance, where profits are reinvested with the patients and the physicians. Insurance companies should not have to worry about denying claims just to increase their share price.
Even put tort reform in health care, one of the highest costs for physicians to do business is malpractice insurance. Lawyers should get reasonable money when its done on contingency, but they should not make as much like John Edwards as an example. It should be the cost of repairing the damage from the doctor, plus the reasonable wages for the lawyer based on how much time and effort was put on the case. Tort reform would also help reduce the cost of health care.
I am not a big fan of big insurance, but big government is not pretty either.

We are the party of solutions. Show the people how we can provide public services at the most fiscally responsible price, show how we can bring forth jobs and opportunity. The Democratic Party message is wrong on the fiscal end, I cringe when Democrats on Caltics want to increase the Vehicle License fee to excessive levels, or where our fallen governor wants to increase the sales tax 1.5%. When the overall result will be a more depressed economy, car dealerships shutting down faster than they already have and retail stores closing down because people do not want to pony up almost 10.25% in Los Angeles County.
Democrats have been too eager to spend, however due to economic problems we are caught in a bind. Conventional wisdom says we should cut taxes and increase spending. However we used the government credit cards too much during good times when we should of saved it for a rainy day. I would only support a tax increase to pay off the budget deficit and use existing money to pay for existing spending, and have a spending limit amendment to block excessive spending so we do not have a future crisis.
Yes we have faith, but not all of us want to express it publicly or put it in our government. Sadly our party is a stereotype where its all about forcing our faith on the people of America where church and state is merged together. And that is where the Republican Party has failed.
