Great post...thanks for the information.
I am a former patient at Vanderbilt Voice Clinic and through therapy with Dr. Tom Cleveland learned some great techniques to keep the voice in the proper placement. I continue to exercise my voice with the tools Dr. Cleveland prescribed. This article looks at keeping the voice relaxed in a different way. Are there some techniques that can be used at home that take advantage of this throat massage?

Great post...
I hate meetings that have no real purpose and fail to help the team get on the same page.
I love meetings that have been well planned and communicate vision and rally the team to get things done.

Ron, great post. Many organizations get some of these but rarely all of them.

Great post Maurilio. I believe the opposite of Fast Forward Deployment is what anchors churches to programs. Main line ministries often seem to be unwilling to push forward without determining first how many people will be upset by changes. This fear stops deployment and hinders action on the mission.

Maurilio,
Great post.
I believe we Americans take for granted the freedoms that cost so many their lives.
Thank you for reminded me in a new way the privilege and responsibility I have to vote.

good post Ron and very true. I think most of them can apply to a worship pastor also.

Thanks for the post Ron. As a church staff member I have found that social networking is an amazing tool to keep in touch with your congregation and the people you lead. As you I participate in all three mediums: blog, twitter and facebook. Here are a couple of reasons:
*congregation becomes a part of your everyday life not just what they see on Sunday
*you can connect with people's lives throughout the week which then becomes a great way to start face to face conversations on Sunday
*blogging allows you to post thoughts about how you do ministry and lead teams, which may help the congregation know the 'big picture' that drives decisions
*it has become a invaluable way to communicate quickly. Example when we had to cancel services due to the Nashville flood.
*and...it is an amazing way to communicate about prayer needs and celebrate when prayers are answered.

I learned from a wise man years ago to apply the meeting rules below that help to avoid the 10 annoying behaviors you posted:
Show Up
Be Present (engaging, not just filling a chair)
Communicate Openly (Honestly)
Let Go of the Outcomes (the decisions made are for the team not a personal agenda)
Have fun

To carry these out the team leader has to be intentional about setting the culture so that everyone involved communicates and does so with respect.
