first let me say that i do have some disagreements with dr. paul. these are on a personal level, like the belief in supernatural beings/gods. on a political level he is clearly the best candidate we see in either party. in speaking to the masses i find the reason most people disagree with dr. paul politically is that they have been conditioned to disregard property rights and the non-aggression principle.

these individual rights are are the cornerstone of universally preferable behavior or the belief that morality and ethics are universal and apply to every human being. a lack of truly understanding these rights leads to people not being able to put things in the proper context when they happen. the short answer to this article is that people don't understand the difference between defense and militarism, thus they ignore or don't take into consideration the morality, logistics and history of a military empire(s).
