I had the same thoughts ... They can still get the characters on screen very organically in season 2, and nothing really would be missing in season 1, where Blackfish serves more as a foil / background filler. I won't go check the details of GOT again, so I can enjoy the series more :) It's a reasonable move and I am sure a shift very reasonably dealt with.

Didn't think about the ending, but yes, makes sense no Riverrun characters are shown, otherwise they haven't saved much with the shuffling :) Wonder about the duel, though - what will be Bronn's advantage? Will Egen be as stupid as to wear the heavy armour from the books? doesn't fit with his younger character somehow.

I have just seen the first part of 1066 from last year, to see Magee, our Yoren. He's good, plays a character that is as Yoren-like as it gets, recruiting Saxon commoners and leading them north to fight the invading Norsemen. He's going to be a great Yoren, looking forward to it, especially season two with more screen time for him :)

I think what we see is the BACK of a set, which is why it's all scaffolding and looks unfinished. Check again, do you agree?
