People still ask, but sure, with both 4.0 & iPhoneHD coming out this month, so too will the 3.1.3/4.0 carrier unlocks :)

I believe your phone needs a clean firmware don't run it over the already jailbroken iphone.

did you make this custom firmware yourself? try to make a new one or download another one i think it is in the custom firmware.
