Tangent...

I ran into a man writing parking tickets the other day around 16th & Spruce and it baffled me. The majority of parking spaces downtown are nearly impossible to drive in/out of without a very high-clearance vehicle and AWD/4X4. Many people have been rocking/pushing their cars out of the plowed-into & unmaintained spots all week, and city employees are going around writing tickets for unpaid slips of paper?! If it takes 3 people pushing, gunning your clutch, and grinding your undercarriage to crash into and out of a parking space then there should be absolutely zero charge or penalty.

Driving on 36 has become increasingly treacherous, especially at night. The center median has yellow 'reflectors' that aren't visible at night. Combine that with the headlights from the oncoming lanes and it's nearly impossible to see where you are on the road. The only way for me to tell where I am in the left lane is to keep my eyes on the center white line and hope I don't scrape my car on the concrete divider.

Additionally, some of the lane shifts divert your car directly through long potholes/gashes in the road. Don't the people from Ames Construction drive along this stretch of highway themselves and realize how piss-poor their staging has been?

Tag that whole scene with reflectors and make it safer for all drivers.

I don't understand it either. I'm out riding for exercise. A stop sign is a great moment to come to a complete stop, balance for a second or more, then sprint back up to speed.

Please expand towards uphill access and night skiing - even if only M-F

Uphill access and night skiing would be great areas of improvement.

Looking forward to seeing how Killian does on a course that is more suited with his type of running (high alpine, grueling, lots of vertical.) That being said, I am really rooting for Eric Lee to do well and would not be surprised given his Nolan's performance - *hopefully* predicting a top 5 result.

A friendly reminder:

-Brush all snow off your car and clear all of your lights (front and rear)
-Drive with your lights on, even if you don't need them it REALLY helps others see you
-Give the car in front of you extra space
-When traveling downhill it's best to use a lower gear which will keep your car from accelerating, rather than relying on your brakes and sliding into a ditch
-Be aware of what's around you and anticipate what could happen, rather than waiting and reacting

Enjoy the snow!

I prefer trail running in the winter along Colorado's front range compared with other seasons. Due to less available sunlight, mountain biking is more difficult by headlamp - not to mention you get 'more bang for your buck' while running, in less time. The trails are quieter and less populated, what once was a technical rocky trail has been buffed out into a smooth strip, and the sunrises are magical with a fresh coating of snow. The slippery nature of the ground forces you to run lighter and more agile, greatly improving form. Unlike the heat of the summer you can always just add another layer.

Running along an untracked trail with 3-4 inches of soft fluffy snow brushing against your ankles is an entirely different experience.

Even worse: "only three people [were] permitted to speak during a five-minute public comment session"
