Thanks Both, I will keep them safe for now.

Would I be right in assuming that when Redsn0w adds the A5 jailbreak (following the CLI jailbreak), at that point it would be possible to stitch them, or is one thing (jailbreak) not a guarantee of another (stitching)

Is there currently a way to stitch a 4S 5.0.1 ipsw.

I have my 4S jailbroken, and have my SHSH saved via tiny umbrella, just wondering if I can stitch an ipsw ready for anytime I may need to restore.

Also, am I correct that there is currently no way to restore to a custom ipsw on a 4S

Thanks, so restoring to a clean iOS will remove all traces of jailbreak - I know it wouldn't really matter, is just me being OCD wanton everything proper.

Many Thanks

If I restore my iPhone 4S to a backup from before the jailbreak...

Will the iPhone be restored to a state where it would be 100% as if the jailbreak was never applied...

I mean no traces or left over files anywhere.

Will it completely wipe and be back to before the jailbreak.

Many Thanks

Hi All,

Not sure if anyone can help, or has used iFaith.

But why is it that the available space is less when restored form an iFaith ipsw compared to an official ipsw.

Many Thanks

Apple or Insurance

Don't expect it to. 4.3.4/4.2.9 was released to patch certain jailbreak exploits, I don't expect the dev team to show their hand now and risk losing and exploit that could be used in iOS5

4.3.3 is currently the latest firmware to have an untethered jailbreak, 4.3.4 does not, and iOS5 betas have a tethered jailbreak, you will need to take a look at restoring to 4.3.3 using tinyumbrella

4.3.3 is no longer being signed by Apple, did you save your SHSH for 4.3.3 on the device you want to restore.

As of 22:30 BST (now) 4.3.3 is currently being signed, I have just restored to it.
