Is it really still possible to 'brick' our iPhones? coz i dont know a single soul who actually have a bricked iPhone coz of flashing...

Folks, I used to have a 2.2.1 firmware, 2.30 modem before I upgraded to 3.0.

I used pwnage tool to jailbreak my 3.0, and its weird, i'm only getting the signal icon when i put my AT&T sim and its not showing the word AT&T. and its only 1 bar, all the time. now i tried my brother's t-mobile sim, the same thing happened.

Anyone else encountering this issue? thanks! i appreciate any response.
