Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 1938. The only difference is that we now have Israel.The writing on the wall began under LBJ. Get your passports and make aliyah. I am just saying....... Here you have a home and while politics rears its ugly head here, you know who is who and what is happening. I came for a visit six years ago and Mr Obama got elected and I stayed. I am at peace with that decision.

Allow me to say that I admire your writing and dislike the stereotypes usually portrayed by Hollywood across the board, but even more so when it comes to Jews because, after all, I am Jewish. However, if that were the very worst f our problems, we would still be in fine shape. I have much to say & explain about what I see on an almost daily basis in Yerushalayim, where I live. Let me begin my remarks by saying that I am an observant Jew who was raised in a non observant home but found the truth and beauty of my heritage 40 years ago. I do not expect that this will pass those who are weak kneed & most will probably never see this, but here goes.
I may not be very popular after writing this, but all of the Jews whining about Jews being portrayed as gutter characters or money loving thieves are getting worked up about the wrong things. After WWII, Jews who survived the holocaust came to the West to begin life anew. Jewish life, instead of disappearing the way Hitler wished, flourished. Yeshivahs (Schools teaching life based upon the Torah) grew in places which had never seen Jews before. Instead of the progression of assimilated names (The Moshe-->Manny-->Michael
-->Brandon complex), we saw a resounding return of a new generation upholding their heritage. However,now we return to typical Jewish history. It is not enough to come to a land and regain our strength and numbers. Just as we have done so many times in the past, we had to assimilate past the point of no return. All you outraged Jews, have you married Jewish spouses? Have you educated your children so they would be proud of their heritage and understand it? Have you exposed your children to REAL Jewish culture and not just kvelling about Barbra Sreisand? Just because you now wear the label conservative in regard to politics does not mean you are off the hook for Judaism. We have managed to do that which Hitler could not. With the intermarriage rate, the total lack of participation in Jewish observance, watching the loudest, most obnoxious of the assimilated Jews running &being synonymous with abhorrent liberal causes, stealing money from other Jews, Jewish life is in more peril today than during the holocaust. WAKE UP. TV shows mean nothing. What a Jew does, that means something and by choosing Brianna over Bracha, lobster over salmon, Sunday over Shabbos you are just another part of the increasingly assimilated mass grave of Jews who have allowed the birth rate of Jewish children to tumble & are bringing Jewry one step closer ,G-d Forbid, to extinction. Thanks for worrying about the "important" things. I am so glad that someone is looking out for the Jews. We are smart people who have, throughout history, made really foolish choices. Welcome to 1936.

Yes, it was naive of you. However, that being said, it is more that we just don't want you here. Imagine if we came to an NPR party and pushed our way in and tried to discuss life from our point of view. This is our party, as it were, and frankly we don't want to discuss, argue (I will not cheapen the word debate because most liberals are just too unskilled to understand the meaning of that word.) or try and understand your POV.
I don't feel for you. I don't care what you think of our philosophy, our comments and us. You are no more a "regular person" than Tiny Tim was. You are a liberal. Go to one of your liberal cyber homes and quit invading our little areas of refuge. You trite, silly little man, go away. Don't you have an Obama worship service to attend?
