Harinder Mishra Jerusalem, Aug 6 (PTI) Nearly five years after the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, the Fatah movement founded by him has concluded that he was assassinated by Israel. Delegates at the Fatah Congress, gathered for the first time in 20 years, today unanimously accepted a proposal put forth by the Chairman of the Arafat Institute stating that Israel had been behind the "assassination" of the iconic leader and decided to set up an inquiry commission to probe the matter.

The members of the commission will be appointed at a later date, but Arafat''s nephew Nasser al-Kidwa is expected to head the commission. The Congress, in the west Bank town of Bethlehem, also called for an international commission to investigate the circumstances of the former PA Chairman''s death.

Arafat died in November 2004 after his physical condition dramatically deteriorated in October, shortly after Israel authorised his transfer to a French military hospital. The Palestinian leader spent two weeks in isolation in the hospital and was allowed visits only by his wife Suha, and a few close confidantes under tight security.

The lack of credible information on Arafat''s condition has led to various rumours with some blaming Israel of poisoning him while others claiming that he had AIDS..

Hacker hits Dutch sites with anti-Wilders slogans

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A Turkish hacker has defaced dozens of Dutch websites with pro-Islamic slogans and pictures of right-wing politician Geert Wilders edited to make him look like a monkey, a website that tracks hackers said.

Wilders, a former insurance worker turned politician and filmmaker, takes an anti-EU, anti-Islamist stand and leads the Freedom Party which is widely tipped to come first or second in next year's Dutch parliamentary elections.

The hacker, who goes by the name "aLpTurkTegin", wrote on some of the sites "Our war will continue against the ones who are against the real religion Islam". On some pages the hacker posted a logo calling him- or her-self "Turkish Defacer".

The pictures of Wilders vary, but generally depict his nose and/or mouth replaced with those of a monkey.

According to the website Zone-H, which tracks hacking attacks, aLpTurkTegin defaced at least 147 sites in the last 7 days, most of them with anti-Wilders pages. The last recorded attacks were on Friday.

"It's crazy but what can I do," Wilders told Reuters in a phone interview on Sunday. "It's very nasty indeed."

Wilders said the recent attacks had some similarities to a hacking attack on his own website last year, though it was not clear if the perpetrators were the same. He said the hacker's latest series of attack was not doing his cause any favours.

"It's not against me now, it's against hundreds of Dutch websites which have nothing to do with me," he said.

Wilders particularly opposes the influence of Islam on European culture and Turkish membership of the European Union. His views have led to a ban on his entry to Great Britain and calls for prosecution in the Netherlands.

He sleeps in many places and travels with bodyguards. Yet the latest Maurice de Hond poll, released on Sunday, showed his party would take 31 seats in parliament in next year's election, just one seat away from a tie for first.

London, Aug.1 (ANI): Islamic extremist Anjem Choudary and several of his supporters have publicly demanded the prosecution of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II over a charge that she sanctioned British troops to wipe out the civilian population in Afghanistan.

In an Internet rant to fellow extremist Muslims, and reported by The Sun, they declared: "She is the one who applauds her sons and daughters to go out and massacre hundreds and thousands of innocent people. Shouldn't she be tried for genocide and the extermination of a nation?"

The rant has left Members of Parliament livid with anger.

Labour MP Andrew Dismore said of the shameful attack that appeared on a website linked to Choudary: "Never mind calling for the prosecution of the Queen. The Queen should prosecute him. It's about time he was busted." ellow MP Patrick Mercer - chairman of the Commons counter- terrorism sub-committee - branded it an "insult to our monarch."

The ex-soldier stormed: "We must recognise Mr. Choudary's words for what they are - weapons being wielded by al-Qaeda and the Taliban. This is the next phase of an enemy operation in our country."

Cops are currently investigating Choudary, 42 - who is on benefits and is a pal of hate preacher Omar Bakri - for demanding gays be stoned to death.

Douglas Murray, of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said of the latest outrage: "It's especially offensive because the people behind it are living off handouts from the British taxpayer." (ANI)

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Emran Hashmi has made some serious allegations against an upscale housing society in Mumbai.

Hashmi alleges he was refused a house in Nibbana Cooperative Society allegedly because he is a Muslim.

Hashmi wanted to buy an apartment in the Pali Hill society but was allegedly told to go and look elsewhere.

He has filed a complaint with the State Minorities' Commission, demanding action against the society members.

Hashmi says the society has mostly Hindus and a couple of Catholic families.

He said he faced a similar situation earlier as well when he was looking for a house in the same area.

Residents and brokers had allegedly told him even then that he wouldn't get a house because he was a Muslim. Maharashtra Minorities Commission vice-chairman Abraham Mathai said the commission is sending a notice to the housing society.

“Emraan Hashmi has complained that the building society is refusing to give him NOC to complete the transaction of the deal to buy the flat. He has given Rs 1 lakh as token money. Building society refuses to give NOC because he is a Muslim. He has made a written complaint. We are sending a notice to the society chairman. We will ask them to explain their stand. No such complaint filed ever,” he says.
