OK, I see what you were saying, sorry. I agree with you completely. I've heard people say that the story of the money changers means that nothing should be sold withing the church walls. No, I don't believe either that Jesus was against capitalism or that we need a temple to comunicate with God.

That's not the point. I'm talking about what Jesus did, his actions. What the money changers were doing or not doing irrelevant.

I agree completely. There is way too much passivity and false "holiness" in the church. I see it in people I know. I don't think there is a Christian alive that won't say that this country was started by Christians and judeo-christian ideas, but they seem to forget a little thing called the Revolutionary War where the founders risked all and FOUGHT England in order to become independent. Christians need to stop being Christians and become more like Christ. They need to be like the Christ that got rid of the money collectors in the temple, like the Jesus in Matthew 33 who called the hypocritical pharisees "Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?". Wake up Christian for it is you who will usher in the Antichrist!
I'm 33 years old and I've NEVER done an illegal drug in my life. I have never smoked anything including pot and although I've had alcohol before, I've never been drunk. Hard to believe but it's true! Although I HATE drugs and have seen the damage that it does I do believe that ALL drugs should be legalized.
Although I'm certain that legalization would not make our problems go away and may even bring on some new ones, drug use should be the decision of the individual. For those of you who see this as a moral issue, well, I was raised in church but I don't believe for a second that enforcing morals is the governments job. Teaching morality is the church's job and any lack of morality in any society exists because the church in that society is failing in presenting God's truth.
The war on drugs has been a massive failure. Prohibition would be laughed upon if any politician tried to bring it back. Legalization is not the perfect solution but I think that the problems it will eliminate are of greater benefit to society. I believe that if any illegal drug is ever legalized: drivers under the influence should be arrested for putting people in harms way and employers should fire anyone for being high at work. These things have to be enforced because they are potentially dangerous to others. True freedom meant just that. We can't give up some of our freedoms up to the government and then hang on to others. We are either free or we are not!
Wow, I may be the only person who's seen every movie on this list. I agree with this article but I feel that the Worst ones on the list are Crash, Little Miss Sunshine and No Country for Old Men. I agree completely that Crash is one of the worst movies ever made. It's a poorly written cheesefest, contrived from beginning to end. I actually thought "No country" was ok but the end killed it. I guess they were trying to be all artsy and by putting one of those dumb sudden endings that come completely out of left field. I went to see it with a large group of friends and they all hated it. Movies that should have been on the list are American Beauty and Brokeback Mountain.
Executive Decision with Kurt Russell. Not only is that movie, in my opinion, one of the best action movies of all time but it also shows a true portrayal of an Islamic terrorist. You won't see movies like that anymore. I read that Russell leans Republican.
I rented and saw Not Evil, Just Wrong last night. They talked about him in that documentary. He spoke, nearly in tears, at some green fascist event and then after his speech his mike was still on and he was caught saying some contradicting comments. Everyone should definitely check out that documentary, it's very informative and well made.
