To be fair, last week the opening monologue was a mock of Bloomberg handling the snow in NYC, along with digs at unions. I think they've been more even handed since Fey left.

Not that it matters anymore, if anyone wants a more even handed approach along with it actually being funny, you can just pop on the Onion News Network.

I hadn't really thought that at the time, but I saw it again recently and was astonished. Matt Dillon, Ryan Phillipe, Sandra Bullock, Brendan Fraser, Billy Fitchner all were underhanded or intentionally covering something up for their own gain. Even though Ludicris and Tate's characters commit some 'evil acts', in the end the redeem themselves. Friggin' Ryan Phillipe's character was a good person with some insecurities, and he is somehow "expertly written" to be stupid enough to pick up a hitchhiker and shoot him like it was some wacky horror movie in the Midwest.
