I've never been a big fan of Billy Connolly , but I agree 100% on his statement regarding patriotism , which is nothing but an evil form of treachery or as some one once called it 'the last refuge of a scoundrel , which is putting it mildly , for it is responsible for the scourge of these horrible wars around the world leading to starvation and millions of refuges , but we will always have these stupid flag wavers who delude themselves in believing that they are in someway superior to others , but in truth it's nothing but a cloak to hide their own inferiority

Many years ago I predicted this would happen , the Irish are not the most tolerant people on earth , they have very short memories , they have forgotten the millions of emigrants who flooded Britain , the USA and Australia back in the 50's 60's and even long before and expected other peoples to tolerate them and were very quick to scream when they were in the slightest way victimized , the Irish need to show the same tolerance that they expected from the English and others and are still getting today , they will never learn , never ever

Martin Mc Guinness whose principles are about as low as a snakes belly, the hide he has to toast the Queen , the very person he would have tried to assassinate only a few years ago , he and his cronies will do anything to try to redeem them selves from the crimes that they were responsible for directly or otherwise ,and that is not overlooking the equally horrendous acts committed by the the criminals on the opposing side they are all guilty and their conscious will never be clear

Where is the proof that there ever was a person as St Patrick , back in the 5th century no one could read or write and everything was word of mouth just folklore handed down from generations onwards , if the truth was known Patrick never existed and if he did he was probably a just another illiterate monk preaching to illiterate gullible people and the myth was born .

you know , after all luxury cars and overseas holidays don't come cheap , what
hypocrisy from a so called ''patriotic'' party that sees no problem in putting
their grubby hands out for the British tax payers money , their principles are as

around the early 90's . Prince Phillip entertained the team with some witty jokes
one of the jokes was ... two male streakers was running through Hide Park , they
stopped by a park bench to speak to two old ladies , one old lady had a stroke
the other one couldn't reach !! GOT IT ?

How any person with half a brain could vote for those muddled headed bigots
who would haven't a clue about economics , foreign trade , public revenue , or
the slightest idea of the workings of Government , there are times when the hopes of the people are raised only to be dashed by reports of a surge in support
for that conglomeration of right wing / left wing / fascist / communist or any other
fringe party who cares to join , God Help Ireland

What about the greatest golf course of them all AUGUSTA up until a few years
ago no blacks or Jews were allowed in the club , Tom Watson refused to entry
the clubhouse for many years because his friend and caddy was not allowed in as he was Jewish , his friend has since died , I'm not sure if Tom ever went back

Agree 100% , religion was only meant to be a
crutch to lean on , when a person has to face
stark reality and has nothing to fall back on
life can then be very painful and as for scientists
believing in God that would be a complete
contradiction to their facts and theories , most scientists will admit to being atheist the rest just make no comment

There's only one thing left to do , dissolve the Catholic church in Ireland it's now
beyond redemption , for those who feel they need some spirituality in their lives
join the Anglican or the Presbyterian church , a complete break with Rome is the
only solution to what would have to be the most sordid most sickening episode
in Irish history .The vast majority of paedophile priests were Irish not just in Ireland but in Australia the USA and in Britain , the Government should close down Maynooth college and bring to an end this horrible and shameful past
