Hopefully, LockMart will be out on its ear. If I ran the show, I'd fire LockMart for poor performance and cut off their money as soon as practical. Hire back the previous FAA employees who want to come back and allow the current LockMart employees to apply for FAA jobs.

Where I work, it's even worse. The FLM doesn't count for staffing at all. If we need 4 CIC/Supe qualified employees on a shift, the first 4 CICs count. The FLM doesn't. That means that if I want time off, there better be 4 CICs at work that day without me. The FLM can be gone at anytime for any reason. Detail, Spot Leave. Whatever. Generally, when the FLM is at work, he fills the role of CIC/Supe. You might think that means one of the four CICs could have the day off. You'd be wrong.

Speaking of starting from the Green Book, I'd be curious to know what efforts were made to get the White House to undo the White Book by executive order. It would seem that at least the cost neutral items (i.e. stupidity imposed because we can) would have been good to get rid of prior to any new negotiations, if not the pay issues as well. NEB? Pat?

I wonder how long it's going to take to fix Title 49 (which caused this whole problem) now that the Dems control the whole enchilada.

While it is important for passengers to wear seatbelts, I'm not clear how this would have helped someone who was hit in the head by a piece of luggage, as has been reported. A helmet might have helped, but I can't remember wearing a helmet on an airplane or even being offered one. Apparently, Ms. Brown does have the 'blame the victim' mentality but maybe she should focus on something the victim did that would have actually made a difference.
