"I just feel bad for the gunman," "He had a mother and a wife and a soul and now he's standing before a just God."

This statement was made by an Amish man after a gunman massacred 6 Amish girls and wounded another 5 in a one room school house in October 2006. Their innocent daughters were killed in cold blood and the Amish offered forgiveness for the murderer and showed compassion towards his family knowing that his wife and children were as much victims as the killed and wounded. Nineteen men in the name of Allah and Islam kill 3,000 people, the Establishment of Islam does little to condem these actions then desires to build a mosque on/near the mass grave of Ground Zero and those who oppose are bigots. I'll look to the Amish as true examples of tolerance and testimony of God Grace.

Excellent post. I've been thinking the along the same lines. I just finished Rules for Radicals and one of the 1st rules is not to get caught up in dogma. The left is stuck to the dogma of identity politics and nanny government. If conservatives follow another of Alisny's rules, hold them to their own rules, it will soon be proven that neither identity politics or big government can work.

Excellent point!!! I just finished "The 5000 Year Leap" and this point struck me as so true. I really wish that book would be taught in our public schools but it won't because of those two pesky words "God" and "prayer".

I tried posting this earlier but I think I lost it, but if it is a repost please forgive. Anyway, one of my ideas is in regards to suggestion #9. The National Center for Constitutional Studies offers some study guides and materials for individuals and/or groups. After reading "The 5000 Year Leap", I visited this site which is listed in the book. There maybe other sites or services that offer similiar items that I'm not familiar with. I think there needs to be a grassroots effort to reaquaint Americans with the document that defines their rights.
