I write serial fiction in my blog. The first one was a six parter called MURDER IN THE VILLAGE ON THE EDGE OF THE SEA. The characters in my stories are dovetailed from one to another. I think life is sprinkled with people who are moved by the Spirit of God, people who live to give instead of giving to live. Sometimes it seems they show up at the time when you need them the most and do things that a far above the call of duty. I'm fairly sure they aren't transported by a sleigh and reindeer, but that makes the miracle even better, doesn't it?

Hi Gibson,

When my brother died from leukemia, it took him so fast there wasn't any time for the usual suspense about death. It was just over. A guy that I played with when we were kids, went to the same college with, belonged to the same fraternity with, owned my first car with, all that life gone in a few days. It was almost winter and I could only conclude that when I see the leaves falling from the trees, I would think of Carl. I can think of a lot worse things to happen than a death in the family.
