Yeah, gonna be chilly. Will separate the wheat from the chaff. And maybe what's left can actually put together a simple declarative sentence.

Four billion? The unseriousness of this congress is stupifying.

When Obama recently approved $1.4 billion to fund Pigford II, I was speechless...especially in the hot light of the administration's spending record.

The president seems to dare the Right to question matters of race because he'll never lose the high ground. The abominable Christian Adams/New Black Panther case at Justice is another example.

I have written all of my representatives in congress and have received form letters thanking me for my interest. I have emailed Limbaugh and Hannity who have chosen not to address it.

So I guess the answer is that at this point in the election cycle, the Right simply does not want to shake the racial bottle because it makes a big mess when you open it.

Gee, this guy makes one crazy comment, and gets a psychiatric eval. Laughner scares the bejeezus out of a entire school, and talks about strapping bombs on babies, and nobody blinks.

The feds wants to incentivize docs to direct people to make enduring end-life decisions by paying them to do so. Patients will probably be given "information" (written by federal regulators) that emphasize guilt-inducing issues like personal dignity, financial and emotional stress on loved ones, and negative images that are associated with nursing homes.

Since I was about 45, my doctors have (at every visit) asked whether I had an advanced directive and assigned a medical power of attorney to be sure my wishes are carried out. All docs should do this as a matter of routine. What the feds want to do is to steer people in its preferred direction: DNRs and palliantive care, as opposed to long-term and expensive treatment. And they are willing to pay doctors a commission to do so.

Gotta keep squeezing the Washington bubble til it pops. Start working on 2012.
