"Eric Roth penned both screenplays" — that explains why it sucked. Me and my little film watching posse agreed that Benjamin was just a really 'empty' character, Daisy was kind of hateful and the whole thing looked sooo schmultzy, in that glossy Americana sort of way... and I like David Fincher... usually... still it's an admirable idea, following a character through from birth to death in the space of a couple of hours. This just didn't feel quite right.
