Early intervention can save you a host of problems later on. You're doing the right thing, and besides, it sounds like SB loves it. Win-win. :)

You know, I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I'll probably make an author website that focuses on the books, and try to keep my blog as random as it currently is. Though writing is, of course, a part of my blog, I've tried not to concentrate overly much on the gory details of the publication process. Also, as enthusiastic as I am about my writing, I don't want my blog to become strictly a sales tool. I think that would get old fast, not only for the readers, but for me too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.

Yes, those comments were horrible. Seems the idiots come out of the woodwork when they can shield themselves behind their keyboards.

Okay, I clicked on my name to check the link, and I was whisked over to Julie Dao's blog (which is very nice, btw). Pregnancy brain or April Fool's joke? ;)

That's one area where it's much easier to be a newbie fiction writer -- platform doesn't matter as much.

You know what? I think your whole Mom Pledge is going to take off, and THAT will provide you with a bigger platform. So it's all a part of eventually getting your book published. :)

If I didn't already suspect you were half-crazy (hey, you're a writer -- half-crazy is pretty much a given), this would confirm it. ;) But the whole idea sounds fantastic. Best of luck with the venture! :)

LOL! Great advice.

Okay, now you go comment on my blog. ;)

And I have never tweeted about pooping camels. Mutant conjoined partially formed twins, yes, but not pooping camels. ;)

When you can't comment, have you tried clicking on the title of the post (as opposed to just the whole blog)? Sometimes that makes the comments appear.

And you DO have a lot of really important contributions! Hey, laughter is important. ;)
