I don't know why we are all getting worked up over some press reports. I thought by now we should be able to read everything with a pinch of salt. It's the bottom line that counts.

As long as it is recorded as a briefing and not a statutory meeting, why should there be objections. The group that calls themselves Say No to Kidex represents a miniscule section of the population in PJ. The name itself already shows the true colour of the group's objective. If residents are concerned with the project they should learn more about it. They should confine their concern to the alignment of the skyway and the quantum of the toll. Traffic is getting from bad to worse in PJ and if we do not do anything about it, we are going to pay for our procrastination. I like to hear what alternatives are offered by those who oppose it.

MAS is chicken feed when compared to the overbloated civil service. If we go by meritocracy we can easily trim the workforce by 50%! Just imagine how much we can save without loss of efficiency and productivity.

MAS is still in operation flying dozens of flights everyday from and to Malaysian airports.

All known shortcomings should be immediately rectified where possible and practical and as recommended by LKS a full review be carried out. We do not want another tragedy to happen while we search for wreckages and the black box.

Passengers on MAS flights will feel that much confident flying with MAS. This is plain commonsense.

Let this be a costly lesson so that no one would make wild allegations to gain political mileage. The rakyat is tired of such behaviour especially when they make the nation a laughing stock of the world. We want to be proud when we tell others that we are Malaysians. Sadly, this is not so because of the kind of gutter politicians that some people continue to support. It is time to say enough is enough.

Size matters. If you are a small state you are always handicapped when talking to bigger states. Don't secede as it will only weaken ourselves on the world stage.

Governments are encouraging whistleblowing to nap tax evaders and money launderers. The sanctity of privacy and confidentiality of customers is nothing but a myth now. One should not be surprised when rogues take advantage of it.
