Oh joy Sunday night they are airing an episode so we can watch Antonio design his own house. Well better his than mine and I WON'T be watching.

I also noticed the fire hazard. That surround is a code violation and the judges should have know that.

I have to disagree with David's comments about Antonio's bedroom design. I can't remember a single thing about the room except for that HIDEOUS green on the walls. David didn't like the headboard but hey, I didn't even know there was a headboard in the room! As a person who watches HGTV for decorating ideas I would have to say I would NEVER EVER want Antonio to design a room for me. I could not live in it and that is the point I believe. HGTV should stick with the program and let the viewer's pick the Design Star like they did in the past. We are after all the folks who watch.

I kind of liked the mural, or at least the idea of it. I think Nathan has a lot of talent as an artist, but was rushed and not as focused as he should have been. I agree with David that everyone seemed to be decorating more than designing in this episode, but maybe they thought the home owners wouldn't like anything too far out.
As for Tashica, I agree that she needed to go. I don't think it was funny, but she did not exhibit the traits of a person who is ready for the constant challenge and dedication a position like this would bring. She would have to be willing to own up to her mistakes as well as push her accomplishments. At the very least she should be able to carry her own weight and not have to be taught how to use a drill, etc, to be ready to be a design star.
I do think this season has been turned into some form of cheezy reality show, which is disappointing. If I wanted that I would tune into FOX.
