thanks mate, i did try that. It didn't work, it was giving me errors too. I finally tried to upgrade to 5.1.1 stiching the shsh to a regular restore 5.1.1 ipsw, it did take that. But in the middle of the restore it gave me an error and the phone ended up in a itunes restore loop I couldn't get out of it. the data was damaged i think. So I ended up upgrading to 6.0 to try to fix the phone :(. any chance I can go back to 5.1.1? thanks

Hello, Thanks in advance.
I have an iphone 4. running 4.2.1 bb: 03.10.01
I'm trying to update to 5.1.1; Cydia saved my shsh files, and I saved them locally with tinyumbrella. I created a custome 5.1.1b firmware with pwnagetool. I put the phone in recovery mode, start the tinyumbrella server to sign off the update, but the restore , through itunes, always fails (on im getting error 11 mostly). Any chance I can update to 5.1.1? Should I use a different ipsw? I also tried a NO BB ipsw done with redsnow. Any help would be appreciated.
ps, the phone is not unlocked. I would like it to be if possible, but I'm more needing to upgrade to a jailbroken version. THanks a lot.

Hello,
I upgraded to 4.0 from 3.1.2. I still have the firmware 04.26.08. I used a custome ipsw created by pwngtool 4.01.

after iphone boots it can't find carrier. any ideas?

You have to put your iphone in recovery mode. and then user irecovery to get it back.
