the majority of homeschooling families nationwide do NOT foster or adopt or harbor abuse to their children. There are extremes in every form of education -- just recently, a friend of mine (adopted niece) had her hand slashed open by a bully in a public school. Is that not abuse? Are children born of a public school... subject to the same scrutiny of those who are homeschooled? As a homeschooling family, we are very proud of our daughter's achievements, we do NOT need government intervention or watch-dogging! However, I think that we should be entitled to the same tax breaks that teachers get when they do their taxes. The differences in education are: our children are taught the Constitution, our children are taught to RESPECT others, our children very well mannered and brought up with morals...and lastly, (but not least), our children are not taxpayer driven.
