they're kind of exclusive arguments, so you on the right should get it together -- deny data, or deny causation?
even for the most staunch republican defenders, denying data will only last a few more years, since it's agonizingly clear, to anyone who can count or subtract, or find absolute value (understood, this excludes half the right wing), that the data is only moving 1 direction -- warmer and more volatile.
Still, even with the 50%+ of republicans who can't add or subract, that still leaves a good 75%+ of this country who will understand the data and the remaining republicans with their heads in the sand, will simply die of thirst.
which will be ok. (for the rest of us)
