well, if I was in an apartment with a smoke detector missing or working, I would be on the landlords to get it fixed and stay on them until it happens

sounds to me that it is just cr @ppy driving if people are weaving and barely missing each other. once again, that stuff happened before cameras came into play anyway.

wouldn't there be the same number of cars going through?

"whoknows" response says that the traffic can't even get to the speed limit because people merging on and off the interstate. i fail to see how that is a camera issue. if anything, the slower speeds keep people from having to slam on the brakes when people decide to merge on the interstate and they are not up to the speeds of the typical 15 mph over the speed limit speeds before they get on the interstate.

bumper to bumper traffic sounds like a typical rush hour. doesn't sound any different than times i have been on the interstate and traffic is going 10-15 mph over.

you say people cannot go the speed limit because of the people that are trying to merge on and off. doesn't sound like a camera issue to me. i would think the traffic would be similar regardless of the cameras in place.

i fail to see how a bunch of people who are travelling at or near the speed limit is more dangerous than a bunch of people that are all travelling 10-15 mph over the speed limit?

who is it not safe for, the people that still want to drive 10-15 mph over?

i was being sarcastic, because it would probably turn out with a similar ending as this story. at least the person who risked his life to save someone without a working smoke alarm didn't get injured.
