I really like them! Saves time as you rarely ever have to actually stop. I would assume that they make all collisions very low speed which reduces the liklyhood of injury. The one out in Coopersville is great now that all the drivers, including myself, are used to how it works!
If they already knew about the situation you were calling about than there is no reason to keep you on and tying up a 911 line. Disconnecting and answering the next call was probably the right thing to do. If you have ever been inside a 911 dispatch center you would see that at times there are numerous 911 calls ringing in at the same time. Your issue was handled and the operator was moving on to the next. A sympathetic and understanding 911 caller would be nice!!!
What I said was that any movie or TV show will show you what happens when you pull a trigger. Nobody has to be trained to know that pulling the trigger makes the gun go off. To answer your silly question, No, TV and movies can not train anyone to safely handle a weapon!
Unless modified, most handguns have at least an 8 lb trigger pull. Triggers don't accidently get pulled, they get pulled because people are careless and stupid! Any TV show or movie teaches you what happens when you pull a trigger, no training needed!
One of the two charges is a civil infraction, similar to a careless driving, and the other is a 93 day misdemeanor! Without any criminal history in the past no citizen in Michigan would get sentenced to even one day in jail for this charge! Unacceptable yes but when he gets no time don't cry corruption.
Keep in mind they had 9 counts to deliberate! 8 hours of deliberation is less than one hour per charge. Pretty efficient if you look at it that way! Thanks, to the jury!!
Did you skip the paragraph that read, police DO NOT believe the shooting to be accidental. Or the paragraph where it said a juvenile boy has been taken into custody for open murder! Read the article again and then read your post!!
Additionally, it is not the volts in electricity that harms you, it is the amps. Police tasers have 50,000 volts, but that is not harmful. Amperage is what is deadly. Tasers have less than .02 amps, which is 30 times less than the lethal dosage of .7 amps
I am not going to make any medical statements here because I am not a doctor. What I do know, is that most every officer that carries a Taser has taken the full 5 second Taser hit. I personally know 138 officers that have taken the hit and NOT died, myself included.
