Whenever I have hives, I just grab my Benadryl itch relief cream and slather it on. Works like a champ.

Those that think this shirt is inappropriate are correct.
Those that think this shirt is appropriate are correct.

Everyone has an opinion.....

Bottom line. This is not even news. Another useless story brought to you by KOMO.

If you walk up to any authors book signing, and become a disruption, the bookstore (or whatever business) they are in, has every right to throw you out on your arse. Yes, a book signing is just what it says it is...A BOOK SIGNING...not a place to protest.

BTW…I don’t believe for ONE SECOND that her husband joined the military because he believed Rumsfeld lies. I’m willing to bet that her husband had no idea who Rumsfeld even was. More than likely, he wanted to serve his country, but they want to play this like Rumsfeld “tricked” him into joining the military. Not a chance. That story holds no water. The anti-war protestor group put her up to saying that.

I don't know what you posted, but...

1. This isn't speech, it's text.
2. You're delusional if you think your "speech" is being denied. It's KOMO's website, and they have the right to delete any post/"speech"they wish to.

Putting Rumsfeld aside for a moment...

Maybe we should also mention the fact that society, as a whole, still doesn't know how to deal with mental health issues. There's still little to no understanding of how serious mental health issues can be. Sure we're sympathetic if somebody has a "real" disease such as cancer etc., but how many times do we look at someone that needs time off from their career because they claim their ill from depression or anxiety, with disdain, or that they're just weak people? It seems there's still little understanding of just how serious this can be. Maybe if society changed their attitudes regarding this illness, this soldier's complaints would have been taken more seriously, and maybe he could have received the help he needed.

Blaming this on Rumsfeld is just petty. Look at the big picture folks...society needs to take people that suffer from anxiety/depression much more seriously. These folks need help, and they need to know that they can reach out for help, and not feel ashamed that they are suffering from this.

Yes, you can quote the article. It's already clear that she blames Rumsfeld for his death.

She's wrong. Plain and simple.

Maybe we came blame Clinton for not killing Osama when he had the opportunity. Then we wouldn't have been attacked, then we wouldn't have gone to war. We can go on and on and on and on, but this is silly.

For the third time, it's his direct superiors that are to blame.

Actually if you've been following the story, his next deployment was Afghanistan, not Iraq.

He killed himself because he didn't want to go back to Afghanistan.

I do think the invasion of Afghanistan was justified...so did Congress and the majority of America. After the attacks of September 11th, there was a massive outcry from most of America for justice....Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld went to work on that.

Ok, fine, if she wants to blame the higher ups for the past, there's really no point in arguing is there? The bottom line is that it was his direct superiors fault for not taking his complaints seriously enough. Blaming Rumsfeld....whatever, that's not going to help change anything.

Sure, and we'll probably wake up tomorrow and find our troops in Libya.

When I was hired for my current postion eight years ago, I stepped into quite a mess that was left for me. I didn't have the option to whine and complain about the past. It was up to me to fix the mess and move on. That's what I was paid to do, and I fixed it.

Her husband had been there MANY times...that's why he commitied suicide. So tell us again how someone that used to be the Secretary of Defense is responsible for his death. His current superiors are responsible for his death, not some old has been from the past.
