Apparently GRPS is an anomaly that doesn't require staff to report during weather closures. Sorry. One child was hit by a car?!? Is that more than on any other typical school day? Was the child fatally injured? Or was it just a single child receiving minor injuries during typical traffic incident?

Buildings would still be open. Teachers and critical staff would still be required to go to WORK. Some transportation cost would have been saved, kind of, unless the day had to be made up later.

How many students died as a direct result of going to school? I think it was zero. Our society is breeding every generation to be less capable of coping with life than the previous generation.

How many GRPS students were killed as a result of going to school Wednesday through Friday? It is snow. It happens every year in Michigan. You should teach your children how to safely handle the situation, not avoid it.

That wasn't his point when making that statement. His point was that as a result of that particular program, students arrive at school very early in the morning forcing a decision earlier in the morning.
