I have 3GS with iOS 5.0.1 and BB 6.15 ... But after jailbroken and installed ultrasn0w the phone would keep showing "searching for signal" ... I did a clean restore but it doesn't work either. Any idea guys?

Sorry guys, dumb question but hope u can help...
a friend's 3GS running on 5.0.1 with baseband 6.15 ... should be unlockable with ultrasn0w but after installed, it keeps displaying "searching for signal". I repeated the steps by reinstall ultrasn0w, restart phone, and do a boot tethered. Then redsn0w gave me a message to specify the ipsw, which I did but it gave me another message saying "no_bb_oldrom...." is not supported by this version of redsn0w (0.9.10b5) ... it's my first time messing with 3GS =/

maybe select the stock firmware instead of the custom one..? Thanks in advance

Oh (edited) .... I did everything up to hold shift and click restore, after that it gave me another error:
"The iphone cannot be restored at this time because the iphone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable " ......
