I gave up on the History Channel when they did the whole thing on the year 2012. It was horrible.

As angry as I was when I heard about this, I've got to say: you guys have one hell of a son. Every time I read about how he's dealt with this I smile a little bigger. Go M.! :-)

Huzzah! I don't use my sexuality as a weapon, but it's there. I'm not going to hide it. Skepchicks shouldn't either.

Wow. That's disgusting.

Invoking legal action is tricky if there is a corporate ban on the applications, unless they are not removing software across the board. Also I would advise that your friend have as much previous performance data *in writing* as possible as it's perfectly within the scheme of things to say that the software was removed for productivity reasons, etc.

The iTunes piece - discrimination aside - is vaguely understandable. We have a block on iTunes. People watching movies, etc. at work is not productive.

Not that commenting on my boyfriend's blog is. :-/

While it is to the extreme, it's a valid question. I'm poly and these things just don't register on the radar of most people, or if they do it's only to revile with disgust. I'm not saying I want to marry my cat, but if I want to marry a man or a woman - or a man and a woman - no one should have the right to stop me.

If by "ignored" you mean "most people don't care", than yes. If you mean "ignored" as in "ignored", I disagree. There are several American aid organizations that have been in Haiti for years now. It's the poorest country in the western hemisphere, and it's horrible that that kind of poverty exists on our doorstep. Bill Clinton's foundation especially has been fantastic with raising awareness and funding for issues in Haiti for a couple years now.
