I take it Ali Khamenei's hand is still clenched? On one hand I think it's all talk, on the other hand would they be so foolish as to make all these threats without following through with something? I worry about those 3 American hikers and what is going to happen to them.

What makes me so angry is the bogus report the CIA put out while Bush was still in office in an effort to tie his hands. Well it worked and now we are stuck with the Zero. Way to go CIA, you may have gotten Israel (along with us) into a world of hurt over your little war with Bush.

My grandfather who just died in November always wore a hat and he knew how to wear it. I love pictures of him coming home on leave after the world war, his hat rakishly tipped to the side. Even as a 90 year old man he looked dashing in his hat. No wonder my grandmother fell so hard for him.

I liked Costners version, I know there was a big to-do over him not having a british accent, but big deal, I liked all the supporting cast. Remember Maid Marions hair? Looked like a birds nest could grow in it without her being aware. Alan Rickman as the Sheriff was over the top great.

I saw previews of this at the last movie I went to see. I was bored silly by the trailer alone, can't imagine enduring 2 hours of the entire thing. Won't be seeing it.

The Vice President of South Africa raped an AIDS activist (who is herself HIV positive). He had known her since she was a little girl. At the trial his supporters burned a photo of the victim and chanted "burn the b#tch". The VP is so enlightened that he says he took a shower after the unprotected sex to "cut the risk" of getting HIV.

I hate to be judgmental, but they still seem a bit backwards. But gee it's nice they had a winning rugby team.

I think the Santa Clause is a good pick and I liked the second one as well. The Polar Express would be another good choice.

A few years ago I was substituting in a 2nd grade class and the teacher left several books for me to read aloud, The Polar Express was one of them. I had never read that one nor did I know what the story was about. By the end I was choking back tears! I felt like such an idiot, I played it off by pretending something was in my eye, than I made them do math drills. It's never wise to show weakness in front of kids when substituting, they'll eat you alive. I watched the movie later with my daughter and we both really enjoyed it.

The Bush bash was weird and awkward, otherwise I loved the film.

The scene where the tutor confesses that she is...gasp!! A democrat! was kind of dumb (as well as funny when paired with the Tim McGraw line), the couple had adopted a black kid from the streets, would the fact that the tutor is a democrat really have stopped them from hiring her? I don't know if that happened in real life, but it seems like they had to squeeze a democrat in somewhere to show that they are just as kind and caring as rich white (perhaps) republicans. That's of course true, any well balanced person knows there are good and kind democrats as well as Republicans. Weird they felt the need to spell it out.

I like the scene in Gone With the Wind where Rhett sweeps Scarlett into his arms and takes her up the stairs. The next scene shows Scarlett lounging in bed, obviously daydreaming of what took place the night before and giggling to herself about it. You can imagine what went on and it's more fun that way. Showing Scarlett and Rhett 'doing it' wouldn't have added much to the movie.

I always wondered about her since she wrote an op ed supporting the troop surge in Iraq.

That was...horrendous. I'll never 'get' people who get Dylan. Never.
